چکیده

Abstract The activation of vibrational-induced dissociation CO 2 in cold non-equilibrium plasma discharges is investigated by means a 0D self-consistent kinetic model, which, with state-to-state approach, able to calculate the vibrational distribution function (vdf) asymmetric mode levels, electron energy and corresponding impact rates. conditions for onset such are linked achievement sufficiently high excitation characterized presence plateau vdf, resulting from combined effect electron–vibrational vibrational–vibrational collisions, overpopulating higher enhances dissociation. Such maximized at lower gas temperature, pressure power density values. In particular, density, an threshold value can be obtained simulations its dependence on temperature investigated. maximum reached end discharge as also analyzed. A satisfactory agreement our simulation results Kotov’s criterion has been found.

Non Equilibrium Dissociation of HF in Electrical Discharges: The Role of Vibrational Excitation *

Dissociation rates o f H F in electrical discharges have been calculated by solving a system of vibrational master equations, including e-V (electron-vibration), V-V (vibration-vibration) and V-T (vibration-translation) energy exchanges. The results show that large dissociation rates can be obtained by this mechanism only when the e-V pumping rates overcome the V-T deactivating rates. This occu...

Non-equilibrium dissociation of nitrogen

Dissociation rates of molecular nitrogen in electrical discharges have been calculated by solving a system of master equations, including V-V (vibration-vibration), V-T (vibrationtranslation) and e-V (electron-vibration) energy transfers. The results show that the dissociation rates slightly increase with decreasing gas temperature in the temperature range 1 000-2 000 K at the electron temperat...

Non-equilibrium Photodissociation Regions: Ionization-dissociation Fronts

We discuss the theory of coupled ionization{dissociation fronts produced when molecular clouds are exposed to < 1110 A radiation from hot stars. A steady, composite structure is developed, which generally includes an ionized outtow away from the cloud, an ionization front, a layer of photodissociated gas, a photodissociation front, and a shock wave preceding the photodissociation front. We show...

Numerical Modeling of Non-equilibrium Plasma Discharge of Hydrogenated Silicon Nitride (SiH4/NH3/H2)

In this work, we model a radiofrequency discharge of hydrogenated silicon nitride in a capacitive coupled plasma reactor using Maxwellian and non-Maxwellian electron energy distribution function. The purpose is to investigate whether there is a real advantage and a significant contribution using non-Maxwellian electron energy distribution function rather than Maxwellian one for determining the ...
